The worm hotel connects: from vegetable waste to beautiful encounters

In a flowerbed on Kolhornseweg stands a neat wooden container, made from a discarded cable reel, specifically for the neighborhood's organic waste. The thousands of tiger worms living in this so-called worm hotel convert the kitchen scraps into compost. "Soon we'll be distributing the compost to the neighbors during a harvest festival," says initiator Herman Vijlbrief.
