Non-European students feel the need to overperform
Last year, over 5,600 students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) were enrolled in Utrecht University, many of whom would like to stay in the Netherlands after graduating to start a career and build a life. However, achieving these things isn't always easy for them, and the fear of facing hurdles causes significant stress. Many international students feel as though they must work harder to compete with students from the Netherlands and the EU.
