Matthew Mercer Loses Himself In Final Fantasy VII For IGN Arcade | IGN Live 2024
Welcome to the inaugural episode of IGN Arcade! It's an interview on hard mode, as your favorite celebrities and gaming personalities try to stay focused on their favorite games while host Benjamin Watts peppers them with questions. Our first guest needs no introduction, but since we're here, Matthew Mercer is the co-creator, Chief Creative Officer, and star of Critical Role, and you know him well from his roles in shows like The Legend of Vox Machina and games like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Resident Evil 6. He joined us on stage at IGN Live to take on one of the most iconic video games of all time: the original Final Fantasy VII. His task: defeat the Lost Number and unlock Vincent Valentine, the character he went on to voice in Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth.
