Call of Duty vs. Battlefield 6 - Who Will Win 2025's Big Shooter Showdown? | gamescom 2025

2025 is a big year for FPS games - we're getting a brand new Battlefield and a fresh Call of Duty within the space of a few weeks. But who will win in the showdown between Black Ops 7 and Battlefield 6? We weigh up the strengths and struggles faced by each franchise's next entry. Whoever wins... well, we also win, too. Battlefield 6 launches on October 10 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be released on November 14 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. We saw the most recent BLOPS 7 trailer at Gamescom 2025's Opening Night Live, which offered a deeper look at a campaign that will be much, much weirder than Battlefield 6's grounded, tactical approach.
