woodcraft Zutphen Tickets, Uffie's Mar 13, 2025

// Equinox is a deeply personal album filled with wild, eccentric, yet also introspective and melancholic sounds. During this concert, two worlds collide: a young, impulsive, and untamed world, and a melancholic, introspective, and slowed-down world. The unexplored paths of the violin, cello, and voice are examined and intertwined with familiar sounds, creating a harmony where tension and relaxation coexist. The equinox—the moment when day and night are of equal length—symbolizes the perfect balance between these two sides of life. In this new album, we navigate through absurdist, melancholic, youthful, and serene landscapes, searching for a balance that is always shifting—seeking our Equinox. Woodcraft is a boundary-pushing string quintet consisting of five young composers and instrumentalists who operate at the intersection of jazz, improvisation, and classical music. This group of musical friends reshapes the musical landscape by blending diverse influences, resulting in a captivating style that is both adventurous and introspective. In their dynamic compositions, improvisation and composition seamlessly merge, welcoming all styles and influences.
