Traveling from Diemen to Amsterdam city center or vice versa? Public transit is barely an option

Public transit commuters from Diemen are having a hard time reaching the Amsterdam city center, due to large-scale construction on Linnaeusstraat. GVB and stadsdeel Oost have attempted to minimise the disruption, but with limited success. The only current alternative is to walk.
