Taxi drivers in Amsterdam feel powerless as fuel prices soar: ‘Not driving is not an option’

“You’re getting screwed on the left, you’re getting screwed on the right – you’re getting screwed everywhere,” says taxi driver Kofi. “Uber takes half your money and the government takes a huge bite out of the other half. And what you’re finally left with, you have to use for groceries at a supermarket where prices go up every single day. And us? Our fare stays the same.”
