Separated canopy during flight, Sky Arrow 650 TCNS, near Goudriaan

The aircraft took off from Hilversum airport to perform a measurement flight. In the vicinity of Goudriaan, the pilot initiated a descent. During the descent, the canopy opened up and separated from the aircraft. When it became clear that the aircraft could still be controlled, the pilot decided to return to Hilversum Airfield. The pilot then noticed abnormal readings from the engine, whereupon he decided to make an emergency landing in a field. The pilot sustained a slight facial injury during the occurrence.
