One in five residents in the region struggle with reading, writing or arithmetic: ‘It is no small problem’

Around forty thousand residents (20 percent) of the Helmond-Peel region struggle with reading, writing or arithmetic. That means the Peel is following the trend already seen in Eindhoven and the surrounding municipalities, although it remains just below the national average.
