Oirschot parties want aqueduct as A58 widening approaches, but alderman rejects proposal

Dorpsvisie and Sociaal Progressief Oirschot (SPO) still want an investigation into the possibility of building an aqueduct to carry the Wilhelmina Canal over the A58 instead of the planned viaduct. According to the parties, allowing the motorway to pass underneath the water rather than over it could free up space for additional housing. Alderman Paul van den Biggelaar is clear about their request: "From an administrative point of view, that's a no-go."
