New board member at NWO domain AES: Marjolein van Wijngaarden
Effective on 1 September, 2024, Marjolein van Wijngaarden is joining the board of NWO's Applied and Engineering Sciences (AES) domain. Van Wijngaarden is director of the Strategic Tender Bureau at Boskalis Nederland and chairman of both the Board of the Taskforce Delta Technology Foundation and chairman of the TKI (Top Consortium for Knowledge and Innovation). Van Wijngaarden's appointment dovetails nicely with the departure of Thom Palstra, who is concluding his impressive career in and for science after serving on the board for three years.
