Layoffs planned for Amsterdam’s civil service: the 2,500 jobs the city plans to cut

Internal documents reveal how the City of Amsterdam plans to cut 2,500 full-time positions from its workforce of more than 22,000. GGD Amsterdam, the city's public health service, has been asked to draw up a plan to eliminate 127 positions. Alderman Hendrik Jan Biemond will make final decisions in the spring of 2027.
