Hilversum carries out annual tree maintenance round

Hilversum is divided into four 'neighbourhoods' that are inspected, pruned and, where necessary, felled every four years. In addition, there are approximately 2.000 so-called attention trees - spread across all neighbourhoods - that are checked annually for condition, because they are affected by a disease, for example, but still have sufficient life expectancy. Tree safety inspections provide a list of trees to be felled every year.
