The man who fatally shot prison guard Marcel Blijd on a crowded terrace on the NDSM-kade in Amsterdam-Noord on Friday afternoon is 37-year-old Amin D., who lived further along in Noord. Because he was born in Somalia, he is known in the neighborhood as ‘Soma’.
