At Amsterdam Central Station, the message of the pro-Palestine sit-in is impossible to miss: ‘I’m here to show that I exist’

Dozens of people bearing Palestinian flags regularly stand among commuters at Amsterdam Centraal. It is a striking setting, as the station – unlike Dam Square, for instance – was never designed for demonstrations. ‘I’m not going to stand in the rain on the Malieveld with nobody watching. I consider that pointless.’
