Amsterdam’s metro lines will get new numbers to better reflect ‘the international character of the city’

Amsterdam’s metro lines are getting new numbers. Replacing the current M50–M54 designations with M1 through M4 will create a ‘more logical’ numbering system, according to the Vervoerregio (the regional transport authority).
