Amsterdam tests tunnel lighting: it turns out less light is often better than more

Ask any woman what would help them feel safer in the streets, and the answer is almost always: better lighting. In Amsterdam-Zuidoost, three distinct lighting schemes are currently being trialled in tunnels. Remarkably, more light is by no means always better.
